Go up on the Whistler Gondola > www.virtualtourist.com/travel/North_America/Canada/Province_of_British_Columbia/Whistler-911656/Things_To_Do-Whistler-BR-1.htmlGoing up with the Gondola by Ann75 Take a day out to go up the Whistler Gondola in the summer season (from june till the end of September). The gondola takes you up to the top of Whistler Mountain where you can enjoy some magnificent views and a choice of several hiking trails. The gondola ride costs $24.61 CAD/$33.22 USD (including taxes). This ride is definitely worth the money and gives you stunning views over the mountains, forests and mountain meadows. Leave a Comment Address: In Whistler Village Directions: Follow the signs in the Village to the Whistler Gondola.

The Gondola takes you up from the village up to the summit. Of course in Summer it's just for a look see. In winter it's well a gimme... In Summer the return ride costs about $20 Canadian. From the top you can walk around a path upto toward the snowline depending on how much it has receded. Mountain Bike riders can't go all the way to the top. They hop off at the midstation. Up the top there are helicopter rides and a few other things. The shop in the summer has a few sales of clothing which was good value when I was there.

Get a Peak Adventure ticket and take the Gondola and then a chairlift to the peak of Whistler! The views are outstanding!!! In summer this is great because at the base of the mountain you are sweating in 28 degree C and then at the peak you are walking on snow!!!
