I took Perimeter's Whistler Express to Whistler from Vancouver Airport and was glad I did so I could just relax and take in the stunning scenary on the Sea to Sky Highway. The bus runs about every two hours during the shoulder season and more often during summer and ski seasons. The trip takes between 2 and 2 1/2 hours depending on traffic and how many stops it has to make at downtown hotels. Cost was $139 CAD roundtrip. You can be picked up and dropped off at either the Vancouver Airport or any of the downtown YVR hotels. Service is popular so book in advance. We had a 20 passenger bus on the trip up that was quite comfortable and a 15 passenger van on the return. Driver was telling me they adjust equipment based on number of bookings and they use large luxury coaches during peak skiing season. Was rainy with low clouds on the way up, but nice on the trip back down the mountain. Here are some scenes from the trip. Leave a Comment

I was fortunate to pick the Whistler Mountaineer train from Vancouver to Whistler and I used a LandSea Tours 24-passenger bus for the return trip so that I could see different things on a different route. I booked both trips via LandSea Tours. On the train ride up, I would recommend seats 1A or 1B for the best unobstructed view window although there really are no bad seats. The 1st class car serves a full hot breakfast, wine and snacks on the 2.5 hour trip. There is also an open air car for those that wish to soak up the outside air during the trip.
